We love our gramma.
She and our Aunt Judith (and their doggies) are the reasons we come to Florida every summer.
Grams is one awesome lady.
She's a generous and loving 85 year old gramma.
She's OUR gramma.
She's wise and wonderful.
She's the kind of gramma every dog dreams about.
One thing we've learned from her: Grammas always have a cookie jar.
When Nina-Girl was a little tiny chicken (that's what Grampa called her),
the cookie jar was just at eye level on the counter.
Gramma always moved it down so the Girl could reach in and take a cookie.
When she got a little older, Nina-Girl learned how to pull a chair over so she could reach by herself.
As she got a little taller, she could reach the cookie jar with her fingertips
and move it close enough to get it down off the counter to check and see what kind of cookies were inside.
Always one of the first things she did when she got to Gramma's house was check the cookie jar.
(She still does.)
There were always cookies in it.
(There still are.)
Now Gramma is our grams, too.
She's got plenty enough love to share with all of us. Nodoggie is left out.
We know exactly where Grams keeps OUR cookie jar. The cookie jar for dogs.
It's handy. Right in a special corner spot in her kitchen.
Our treats. Lots of them. Lots of variety.
And we know exactly what the sound is when Grams opens any of the containers.
Pavlov's Law. Dogs come running.
Chloe and Andy are as generous as Grams. They kindly share.
And Grams lovingly gives us treats.
We wait until she is ready.
And we gently take them from her.
Gladly.
And appreciatively.
Wish I could say I know when to stop and leave the rest for the others.
But that's not true.
I'm sort of the cookie monster. Sometimes I have to be gently removed from the pack.
Grams always sneaks me another treat, though.
She's very fair. And very generous.
I love my gramma.
We love our grams.

Hey, Ferg & Jakeman!
Grams are definitely good things. They usually give great scritches, tasty treats, and let you get away with EVERYTHING! I wish we lived closer to our Grams. Seeing yours makes me miss mine.
Please give your Grammie, your mama & your Nina Girl big juicy smooches from us for taking such good care of you.
By the way, which one of you is the cookie monster?
Goober love,
Stanley
You guys are so lucky! What a lovely Grammie! You have to take special care of Grammie. We never met ours as she has gone to heaven. She was a wonderful person but hated dogs!
Poor old Harry, our predecessor, was never allowed into Gram's house because she thought dogs were smelly!!!!Can you imagine!
She would come visit but never in his whole life did Grams bring Harry a treat.
Mum says Grandpa would but he was already in heaven by then.
There is no doubt in our house we are lucky our mum got her love and understanding of us dogs from her Dad.
So you see what a wonderful Grammie you have - you guys have landed on all four of your paws with your new great family.
She understands that sometimes you have to get an extra treat cos you need extra special love and attention.

PS A midge is like a mosquito - so many people asked about the midges that we will need to post something - everyone in Scotland HATES them!!
Hi there, Jake and Fergie,
GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
We stopped by your blog (having been diverted from 'Hamish') and it is really beautiful! We love the pics of you all. It seems that you have a wonderful Granny, not to mention the treats.
Please stop by our blog sometime. We hope we can be friends.

OH you lucky dogs. Such a precious thing, to have a kind and generous Gramma. And with a special cookie jar just for dogs too!
I am also lucky to have a nice Granny, although she lives rather far away. I have discovered that if I hang around in her kitchen and do my cute begging stunt, she always falls for it, thinking that I am hungry 'cos Gail does not feed me enough, and doling out treat after treat. AND she always saves proper meaty bones for when I visit too.
Yep, Grandmothers are the best!
Cheers, H.
AHHH!! Such a sweet Gramma. Our granny gives us carrots for treats, but we love them and her.
Have fun with your Gramma. They are special people.
XOXO
