Waggin' Happy Dogs

We know Easter is Special
in SoManyWays

This year was NoException
Not at All

All the Pups in OurFamily realized how Lucky and Blessed we are
It was a good weekend
VeryVeryGood

Knowing how far away we are from Family
AuntieJudith sent us some PhotoCollages from Florida
of LittleBella enjoying her FirstEaster
Since being rescued from the DoggieJail and adopted by OurGramma
in January just this year
(She's all Happy and Healthy now.  Can you tell?)

We found out that it didn't take her long at all
to figure out how to crack open PlasticEggs and find YummyTreats inside
(Silly pup has a marshmallow in her mouth!)
We are so excited to see her again in a few more months.

And Zoë?
Our WhippetCousin?

Well
She didn't let healing from her recent GirlSurgery stop her
From enjoying her own BasketofEasterTreats
(Zoë had some influence this weekend!  She got her moma to post this picture on her VeryOwnBlog!)

Life is So Good!

We know we're LuckyDogs
A LuckyFamily, really
All Put Together

and
It's been nice to be able to share some of that Luckiness with Others

This weekend we wrapped up OneSpecialBox from our KyjenLoot
for some VerySpecialFriends

The WhiteDogArmy has been incredibly generous with Us
Making ManyManyDonations to Shelters and DoggieMedicalResearchPlaces
All in our name and even in Angels Chloe and Andy's names
(When they each left for the Bridge these past few months)

They've made so many Donations that we can't even count or remember

So
We really wanted to GiveBack just a little

Knowing that their Family has grown from one WhiteDog (Siku Marie)
to four (including The Mighty Quinn, Nuka Angel and Puff the Magical)
(and, we've learned, they are possibly going to be fostering/adopting yet one more ...
... if you don't know 'em, be sure and check out TheirBlog)
All as a result of their BigHearts and RecentAdoptions

Well
Our own RescueAngel (PJ) has told Moma over and over
How AgilityTraining helps pups grow Confidence
and we thought
"What a better group of four-leggeds to further their Confidence
than the WhiteDogArmy"

So
We hope they're watching for their PostMan
and
We hope we can someday see them in their yard
Winding through Gates and Zooming through Tunnels
with BigSmiles and Lots of TailWags
(That'd make us ReallyHappy!)

That's not all!

While we were Out and About this weekend
We noticed an AdoptionEvent
(L.O.L.A.'s Rescue and Doggy Dog World Rescue were featuring pups at a local Pet Store)

and

We took advantage of TheOpportunity
to bring some Smiles and TailWags to MoreDogs
by sharing some of our KyjenToys

See for Yourself
(Heehee ... Gotta love that Smile!)

(Hehehe ... check out those Eyes!)
That was Tommy
(He almost came home with us and Moma took lots of Pictures of him
Oh ... we hope hope hope he ... and all the others ... have NewHomes very soon)

There were a bunch of Pups there
All of 'em Nice
and
Deserving
Waiting and Waiting and Waiting
(Click on the picture to biggify it, then even click on it again
and you can see those Sweet and Longing Faces up close and personal)

Then
(That's still not all)

To make Easter Sunday even more Special
We met a new pup in OurNeighborhood

(And we learned a new word:  Serendipitous)

It turns out this pup was on a WeekendLeave
(Not too far from OurHome)

Moma had thought of donating a bunch of the KyjenToys to the Shelter
but she really wanted them to go to FosterHomes
Since most of them require Snoopervision or Interaction

WELL

It turns out that a VeryNiceLady
Who is practically OurNextDoorNeighbor
is now the Director of the Shelter
and
She brought this LuckyVerySweetVeryGentle Pup home for the Weekend

AND

Lots and Lots of the dogs at the shelter get to go to FosterHomes
While they are waiting

So

Guess What?

We talked it over
We let the LuckyPup test out a Toy (to keep for herself, of course!)

and

She thought it was a GoodIdea!

We're gonna transfer over a BigBox of Toys
to that VeryNiceLady'sCare
So she can distribute them for us
To pups who are waiting for their ForeverHomes

That's gonna make us VeryHappy
'Cause we want to know OtherPups are waggin' some tails

Just like we are
Right Now

Easter Greetings

We oughta be making it our FirstPriority
to be sending many many HeartfeltThanks to effurrybody
(and there were LOTS of you)
Who left such nice BirthdayWishes for Miss Fergi

Moma has promised us that we'll be doing that early NextWeek

but

Right now we're taking a VeryShortBreak from all the Fun
We've been having with OurGirl home for Easter
We've been getting lots of Cuddles and Lovin'

(and sometimes it takes YoungBlood for PlayfulAction to happen around here)

Most Recently
(Besides making some more ToyDonations ... more about that soon)
We've been snoopervising NinaGirl in the Kitchen

and
We've became the QualityControlPups with her SpecialCreations

She got our Licks of Approval

and

now

We're trying our Best

Waiting for what's sure to be a VerySpecialEasterDay

Most of All
We're hoping it's ReallySpecial for You
All of You
Each and EffurryOne of You

Happy Easter
from All of Us

(and, truly, Fergi and we all thank you for ALL the NiceBirthdayWishes)

Somebody had a Birthday!

FERGI

The sweet Princess turned eleven years old on 18 April 11
but
in a way
It's sort of like she turned Two
'Cause this was her SecondBirthdayCelebration
Since busting outta her PuppyMillMisery

Honestly
She seems to get Younger EveryDay

(Certainly MorePlayful and MoreConfident)

Fergi woke up this morning to a SweetMorningMessage from her 'doptive sissie Asta
Who started the day off with GoodWishes and LovingWords
(Thank you Asta)

and
As the Day moved on, MoreMessages arrived
(Thank you Everybuddy)

It seemed we were never gonna Party
but eventually, we did
and it was worth the Wait
(ReallyGoodThings come to those who wait ... we're reminded of that EveryDay)

Anyhow
Fergi had NO trouble sniffing out the MiniCupcakes
(Neither did I, the BigLittleBrother)

and

in fact

She snatched one of those LittleCakes, paper wrapper and all
and BOLTED down the stairs
Swallowing it Whole
and then she came back for More

(Did you hear OurGirl in the little MovieClip?
She joined the Party all the way from her DormRoom)

(For some OddReason
I soon got jailed in a SmallFlushingRoom next to the Party
and even my Whimpers and Cries to be let out
seemed to be ignored)

I did, however, help in the PressieOpeningProcess
(Fergs is still a wee bit scared of those packages, so I stepped in to help)

and
In the BigRoundPinkOne
She found a soft rubber ball that holds .... TREATS ... that drop out when it rolls around
(Somehow I think there's a chance she might get the hang of ThisToy
though, I probably won't be around to see it ...
... if ya know what I mean)

Something pretty tempting was radiating from the PurpleShinyPressie

(I could smell it from behind that ClosedDoor
but my efforts to communicate were still ignored)

I think the next Pictures speak for Themselves

Let's just say ... Fergi liked her Pressie ... and she didn't much like me wanting to check it out
(I heard Moma say something about my Birthday is coming ... and those things stay well in the freezer)

Best of All

A Package arrived in the Mail today
Fast as Can Be
SpecialDelivery

Our Friends (we met 'em last summer)
Justin and Missy and Stevie in Merryland
Sent Fergi a SpecialBirthdayBox
Addressed in Pink
and carrying a FamiliarScent of Her (Our) Friends

(She sniffed and sniffed and sniffed ... I could hear her from behind the Door)

Inside the Box
Fergi found Lots of AmazingTreats
All the EdibleType ... just like she likes
YummyBeautifulGourmetTreats
Fit for a Princess (and her brother)

I'm pretty sure she will share
She's that kind of Girl

(We're soooo happy she is part of OurFamily)

Thank you everyone
For helping to make her Eleventh/Second Birthday so special!

Fergi especially thanks you
(Right now she is SweetlySleeping ... on the couch ... in her NewSpot
Right where she was in that VeryFirstPhotograph up top)

Pawzforthought Parcel

FINALLY!

We are doing what we've been wanting to do!

A box of OurWinnings ... some of the Kyjen Toys that we won
Has been packed and shipped and delivered!

Under CloseScrutiny and Supervision

We knew all along
of one VerySpecialFamily
with whom we wanted to share SomeStuff
(We'll tell you who in a bit)

They're a Dog and his ForeverFamily
Who open their Hearts
Over and Over Again
to Dozens of Dogs waiting for their ForeverHomes

Big and Little
Fuzzy and Furry

All VeryVerySpecial

and

They're a Family who find the FerfectForeverHome for All of Them

A Family that makes us Laugh
and gives us Hope
and reminds us of what SimpleLove and UnconditionalCaring can provide

Wagging Tails
and
Wagging Tales

So

We got Busy
Sorting and Choosing and Testing and Packing

It was a WholeLot of Fun

(Here's the Process in LiveAction)

Everything Fit
All Boxed Up

and

Once ready to ship

Winston got in on the Transport

'Cause, you see
The Parcel was headed to his Homeland

to GB

Great Britain
and
Grumpy Bobby

Winston's Foster Family (Eric SquareDog and SquareMom)
helped to make the Shipment possible
(We all thank them!)

So
We ALL traveled to the US PostOffice

and sent the Parcel on its way

Just a few days later
We got the GoodNews!

Everything arrived Safe and Sound
and now
Some VeryDeservingPups
(and the VerySpecialPeople who love them)
Get the chance to enjoy some of the stuff we won.

Nothing could make us happier!

... by the way ...
The VeryDeservingFamily is

An AmazingPart of pawzforthought
(An organization that is always looking for more FosterHomes ... hint hint!)

This AmazingFamily has provided a FosterHome for ManyManyPups
(Over seventy dogs in four years!)
(Including our good friend Martha, of Martha and Bailey)

All from the Goodness of TheirHearts

They've captured OurHearts and OurLove
Right from the VeryBeginning

Go Visit Them

You'll see why we love them so much

(And you can decide if Bobby is truly Grumpy)

Sincerely and Enthusiastically,
TwoVeryHappyWires and TheirPeople
Doing what we've been looking forward to doing
FINALLY

and

One more thing
Grabbed from GrumpyBobby's Blog
(We don't think he'll mind)
Some Words that we really like

Kind hearts are the garden
Kind thoughts are the roots
Kind words are the blossoms
Kind deeds are the fruits

Harvest Life to the fullest
with KINDNESS and LOVE

(They set such a perfect example)

Pee esS

Go meet them, if you don't already know them!
Please share the happiness!

Mystery Solved

For once ... it's been a long time ... it's MY turn (Fergi) to share a Story
(If only they would listen to me ... and understand a bit better ...
Life could be a wee more comfortable around here)

It seems they started noticing more changes in my Behavior

Like

I independently started getting up on the Couch
(Something I'd never had the nerve to do, on my own Accord)

and
Sometimes
I'd curl up in a ball in the Corner of the Room
(Before I'd always go for my DoggieBed or the BigBed)

but

The difference was
I wasn't Happy

and
I'd shake like a Leaf with a worried look in my Eyes

Moma started fussing and worrying about me
And so did Jakey

On occasion I'd been sorta dragging on OurLongWalks
and
Moma was wondering if my "luxating patella" was getting worse

Jake tried to do his own Examination

but
Since it was time for my AnnualExam
We all went to the VET
and I got a thorough LookOver
(if you know what I mean)

Dr Batch (we all love him)
Watched me move
and
He tenderly Touched and Massaged
Poked and Stretched
and then assured Moma that right now my knees are no worse
(Yippeeeee!)

I'm still at a Grade Two (of five) ... and there's no need for any real treatment
and
Best of All
I can get back to going on my LongWalks

Woohoo!
We are all ReallyReallyHappy!

For those of you who might want to know more
Here is a diagram of a luxated patella

The little bone ... the knee cap ... above the knee joint
Slips out of its groove

In my case, with a little (almost imperceptible) hop, skip and jump
It slips back where it's supposed to be
and
I don't seem to be having any significant pain

BUT

There is still the Question of my ChangingBehaviors
(They finally figured it out)

So
I ask YOU

What do these things in have in Common?

... a bed in the cabin on our Yellowstone trip last summer ...

... a very specific drawer ...

... a fork and a bowl ...

... shoes on a hardwood floor ...

... and THIS thing ...
(Do you know what it is?)

They all DO have something in Common
and
FINALLY
Moma figured out what was bothering me for a few days

Do you know the answer?

Well
It seems my eleven year old ears still have VeryGoodHearingCapacity

FINALLY
Moma heard something that I'd been hearing every once in a while, for a while
The SmokeAlarm in a DownstairsRoom was chirping and chirping
'cause, they said, the battery was running low

It's happened before
and
It puts me OverTheEdge

I hate that HighPitchedSqueakySound
I hate ALL HighPitchedSqueakySounds
and, bottom line, they terrify me

The bad part this time was I heard it long before Moma did
(and Jake could care less)

NOW
(with a new battery ... Moma keeps a good supply of them!)
Things are back to normal
AND
I've learned that getting up on the couch is a VeryNiceThing

'Specially next to my Brother

Much Love
Fergi
