Christmas in July

Wow! It's HOT in Florida in the summer!  Really really hot.  And really really humid.

No problem.  We adapt. 

Our daily schedule simply has shifted from what it was back home.  

Instead of morning walks 

(we lazily sleep-in on vacations, and it's too hot to go far by the time we hit the road), 

we've been taking long evening walks, after the sun goes down.

We love it.

We've admittedly been running a bit behind on our blog.  

Not because of a lack of blogging material.  Not at all.

But instead of a lack of initiative.  Hmmmm.  Not a good excuse.

We did, though, get poked just a little by Maggie and Mitch.

They prompted us to to open our pet folder and post a photo that's never been posted before!  

The first one that came to mind is one that has helped us to think "cool" in July. 

We were being good little dogs, modeling our new Christmas slippers, 

sent to us by four buddies (two dales and two wires) in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.

Just looking at the picture makes us smile.

You shoulda seen us dance for the first few minutes with those slippers on.

Thankfully, we became a bit more skillful before our first real dances at the wedding last weekend.

Otherwise we surely would have embarrassed ourselves.

So, now, we're supposed to tag five more doggies.

But we are going to cheat and ask five of YOU who haven't already been tagged 

to post a heretofore unseen photograph.

It's fun.

It made us smile.

And it got us off our lazy behinds.
