Just a little catching up to do

Oh my.

How long has it been?
Too long.
Way too long.

What all has been happening?
Lots
LOTS!

Sadly, Moma can't even really check back to see much on our Blog
(at least at the moment)
'Cause some (stupid) pop-up window
(A major irritation, we've heard her say)
Keeps interfering.

We're lucky she got this far.

But ... in her True Spirit
Nothing is going to stop her.

Not much does.
We know, 'cause she's had a lot of excitement and challenge around here.

But the GOOD news is
WE'RE HERE TO MAKE IT EASIER
And
Of course
More FUN!

So

Let's try to quickly and briefly (ha!) catch up.

(Some of this may be repeat.
Bear with us.
Bear with Moma.
She didn't really even know where to start.)

Let's see.

Summer of 2013 we traveled clear across the Pond
At least ... our flat selves did!
and
landed a teensy bit south of London
Square on Eric (Square D Og)'s guest bed
(It was sooo cozy!)

and

(Shouldn't be much of a surprise here)

Winston traveled with us
'Cause it was VERY important that he see his FosterMum
(and the reunion required a couple of tissues)
(Eric wasn't too thrilled, but Miss Enid made up for that
THEIR reunion was heartwarming.)

Anyhow

While there
We did made the usual stops around town

There are HUNDREDS more pictures.
Maybe we can talk Moma into eventually backtracking
and
Sharing LOTS MORE

(That'd make us happy)

From the south of England (and London)
We made our way northward
to the home of Molly and Winnie and Taffy and Monty
and their people
(Here's some of them ... and their legs)

Where we enjoyed tea (and cake!)

The Lake District

Castlerigg Stone Circle

Meeting Berti
(and his Gail)

Where Moma was spotted kissing Berti
(How dare she?)

We also got to meet Berti and Martha and AngelBailey's peeps

and joining a Terrier Walk at Sandringham
(We met SO MANY wonderful people and their dogs there
Many of them are our FaceBook friends now
and that makes us Happy Happy Happy!)

and

Back to London

Where Jake (finally) met Sally
(His long-time Girlfriend
Sweet Girl of Diana Brusi
and Terrier SOS)

It was a WONDERFUL trip
and
We're pretty sure at least Moma will be heading back
(We keep encouraging her SOONER rather than LATER!)

Later that year
(Still back in 2013)

Mom-Gramma (who'd moved to Colorado by now)
Took yet another fall
and
We ALL decided it was best if she moved in with us
In our house
Where we could ALL take better care of her

Soon thereafter
We celebrated her 90th birthday!

And

A few months a few months after that
OurGirl - NinaGirl
Got engaged to be married!

That Christmas (2013)
We were still a family with TwoSpecialWires
(plus Bella and a bunch of stuffies and wheelies)

But

Did you know?  Maybe you did.
(Sad Face)
On 14 Jan 14
Our Sweet Fergi
Suddenly and unexpectedly had to cross the Rainbow Bridge.

It was really quite traumatic.
And Moma struggled with it (still struggles with it, actually)

But we know and understand
There is a Bigger Plan and a Higher Calling
And it was time for Fergi to gain her wings and become AngelFergi

Free of fear ... ALL fear ... at last.

(We still weep ... but we know she watches over us
Every once in a while
We find a reminder that she is always near by

A white feather occasionally falls in our path
A gentle whisper of her presence

Well

Just a few weeks later
We got a call from Maribeth with WFTRM
Letting us know there was a Wire Fox Terrier
Sitting in a kennel
at the Denver Dumb Friends League

"Could we go spring him from the shelter?"

YOU BET!

Here is what he looked like upon arrival
(Very sad face)

And

Here he is a day or two later
At our home!

So
Can you tell?

NinaGirl was immediately smitten
and
After a lot of conversation
OLIVER became a Novak

Moma's first GrandPuppy

Once again we became a home of TwoSpecialWires
(plus Bella ... plus AngelFergi ... plus a lot of stuffies and wheelies)

Oliver would stay (mostly) with us
Until Nina and Aaron were married

And

Actually

I (Jake) thought he was a PrettyGoodDude
(We've been pals ever since)

Fast Forward a few months

NinaGirl graduated from the University of Northern Colorado
with
a degree in Elementary Education

(Woohooo!  She's gonna have treat money coming in soon!)

Soon thereafter

We (NinaGirl and Oliver and me ... JakeyBoy)
Made a road trip back to Florida
(NinaGirl was a bridesmaid in a wedding there)
(Thank you, James, for the beautiful photo ... one of our favorites)

and

LOOK SEE!

While there we met up
(again ... we'd met before ... when Gramma still lived in Florida)
with JustHarry's mom

AND WITH her AngelJake and our AngelFergi!

It was pretty doggoned special!

The angels had their own special time on the beach
(While the peeps weeped)

Meanwhile

Back Home again

A SpecialDeliveryPackage arrived

Sure smelled good
and
Sorta familiar!

It was from Asta and her mom (Ami)
All the way from Budapest!

A portrait of Jake and Fergi!
The ORIGINAL TwoSpecialWires
Together again

Furever

Our family certainly loves us dogs

Here we are ... later that summer ... with Auntie Judith and Zoe
and
UncleSteve with LittleMan
and
AuntiePatti with Squirt
(Believe me ... that took some coordination ... and quite a few treats ... to capture!)

What we haven't told you
Is that back in October (I think that's right) of 2013
Moma and AuntieJudith (and Gramma)
bought a smallish Kennel on Wheels
(just for us ... right?)

It was only appropriate to put ourselves
(in a VeryFlatForm)
on the window

Adventures were about to happen
and
We ALL have our VeryComfyTraveling and SleepingSpots aboard

The following October (of 2014)
We all loaded up ... all meaning
Moma and AuntieJudith
Mom-Gramma
and
Us Dogs
(Jake and Oliver and Bella and Zoe)

and

We drove to Florida!

We're back on the beach!

and HAPPY

(We've gobs and gobs and gobs of photos
and memories of that trip.
Gotta talk Moma into getting back into blogging again
So you can see them!)

4000 miles we traveled
and
WE ALL DID GREAT!
REALLY GREAT!

On the way home
Moma got another call from WFTRM
and
This Time
The message was there were two former puppy-mill girls
(Just like me and Fergi)
Who were arriving from the Kansas mill
to
National Mill Dog Rescue

which
just
so
happened
to
be
on
our
way
home

Can you guess what happened?

Yep.

You're right.

Meet Sandy

Meet Ginger

The nice ladies at NMDR transferred them
over to us
and
The little camper
(RoxyVavoom)
Now was carrying six (very well behaved) pups.

Teehee.

You aren't surprised, are ya?

You won't be surprised
either
To learn that those sweet
(and very very shy
and very very bonded) sisters

Never made it past our home.

They're officially Novaks now, too.

And we're a happy crew

And TheGirls are getting braver and braver
and
Happier and happier

and

now

We are FourSpecialWires

But

That's not all!

On 12 July 15
Nina and Aaron got married!

and

(No surprise, again)
Oliver was most certainly in the wedding!

(He is, after all, their pup)

Here they are.
The Hoyts
All Three of Them

(Guess that means we're back to ThreeSpecialWires here in the foothills of Colorado)
Plus Bella ... the Havanese
and Zoe ... the whippet
(We love 'em as if they're wires!)

Just one more thing

We were all SUPER HAPPY
That Mom-Gramma was able to be with us all for the wedding

Here is one of our most favorite pictures
With her youngest grand-daughter, NinaGirl
(now officially Mom to Oliver)

Mom-Gramma may not remember the wedding
But we've got pictures to remind her
and
WE certainly remember her being there.

Yahoo!!!

So

Now

We're officially assuming our next MostImportantRole

Lapsitter
Snugglepups
and
MostLoving Dogs to our Gramma

Life moves on
and
All is Good

We make sure to do OurVeryBest
to keep that Positive Outlook.

PS

Aren't you proud of us ... and of Moma?
WE DID IT!
We posted again on Blogger.

We've really really missed it!
