So Much is Happening

Oh Our Dogness
So Much has been happening.

We've had a GREAT Response
in preparation for the Worldwide Moment
This coming Sunday
14 November 10
at 11:00 PM GMT

There's more Information
at the bottom of this Post
if you want to learn More
or
if you need Links to the Time Converter
or
to the Code for the Countdown Clock
or
if haven't yet downloaded the Banner
and
You want to add it to your Blog
(Please do!)

As we count down the Days and Hours and Minutes Here
We've stayed busy

Moma came Home one Day
with a new (very old) copper Tub
and
We thought she bought it just for Us
to use for bobbing for Apples

It was Great Fun!

LOTS and LOTS of Fun
Even if we did have to work very hard to get those Apples

We each had very different Styles.

I nudged them around
and
Fergi eventually stuck her whole Snout in the Water.

And then
This past Saturday Night
We got to meet our VerySpecialFriends
The White Dogs' Family

Siku Marie (The White Dog)
The Mighty Quinn (The Other White Dog)
and their People

And it was a VerySpecialTime
for Miss Fergi

Who cuddled and connected
for a long long Time
with White Dog's Moma

In the meantime
Our Moma got to bury her Hands
in the billowy VerySoftCloud
of Siku Marie and Quinn's amazingly soft Furs

So did NinaGirl

It was Amazing!

The White Dog Family
Was on their way from Albuquerque, New Mexico
to Ft. Collins, Colorado
for the Inaugural 2 Million Dogs Puppy Up! Walk
a two mile walk to increase Awareness about and gather Funds for
Canine Cancer Research and a Cure
on Sunday

You can read all about it
(it was a powerful experience, in more ways than one!)
and see some great photos Here
and see some videos Here!

Meeting them was Another Example
of how Very Special
and Exceptionally Wonderful
the Friends are that we've met through our Blog

This Family shared true and free Love with Us
through their Kind Words
Gentle Voices
Tender Hugs and Scritchies
Patient Approaches
Tasty Dinner
(Hey!  we didn't get any Tidbits or Tasties!)
and Generous Gifts
(ahem ... some of which ... Moma ... are on the TooHighCounter)
(When ... just WHEN are they coming down?)

It was ... simply ... Wonderful
and
We really look forward to seeing Them again.

In the Meantime
Like we said Up Above
We are counting the Days and Hours and Minutes
until the Second Annual Worldwide Moment

We are so happy
That so many Bloggers have been spreading the Word
(Thank You!)
and
Will be Joining Hundreds around the World
to simultaneously share Pawsitive Energies
and broadcast them across the Universe
to Anyone and Everbuddy that they (we) wish

It's gonna be Amazing
and we hope we hear some Stories of the Moment
from some of your own Personal Experiences.

So

Once again
Here's the Banner
(Click on it to return to our BlogPost that shares Details)

And here's the Current Countdown Clock
(Click here if you still need to email us for the html)

And here is the link to convert the 11:00 PM GMT time to your personal time.

Set your alarms and get ready
for the One Silent Minute
the Candle Glow
and the Big Simultaneous Shout-Out at 11:01 PM GMT

Finally

One last Mention
We've learned that our VeryGoodBuddy
The Most Distinguished Wire Fox Terrier Author Chaucer
is among those who we'll be sending our Love and Support to
Today, Tomorrow and on the Day of the Worldwide Moment.

We don't think his People will mind
if we share some VerySpecialWords
that they recently sent to us
(We know They know Chaucer's world of Friends
is big ... even though he doesn't have a Blog.)

They wrote:

"Chaucer has been quietly dispensing instructions to us (such as how to announce his "retirement" publicly, if at all) and tidbits of wisdom to (his WFT sister and his lab sister)  since I wrote to you last. He is back snoozing in his window spot this morning, but has actually been spending much time awake and looking around at us, eyebrows wriggling. Rather unusual for him. He is surely soaking in the sights of our beautiful World, and probably of the Bridge beckoning to him. We thought he might be waiting for the special International Moment on the 14th before making his journey, or to see a friend arriving on the 19th for Thanksgiving... but no, he will surely be scampering about and running running running well before then ..."

This makes us very sad.
Please keep Chaucer and his Family
in your Thoughts and Prayers

He has been a VerySpecialFriend
for a long long time.

(Moma with him this summer)
(You can click on the picture to go to the blogpost about that visit.)

Much love from All of Us

Addendum.

It is with much sadness
that we add ...
No sooner had we posted this
Than we learned that Sweet Chaucer has crossed the Bridge.

We'll post more later.
Right now we are very sad
and know the loss the Family is feeling

Please keep them in your Minds and Hearts.

Once we get Their Permission
We'll post an email link

We know they'd appreciate Words of Understanding and Support

We know that Chaucer was well prepared for and at peace with his Crossing over the Bridge. We will light a candle to shine the way. To those of his still on this side we extend paws and arms in love and consolation.

Of course, we will be here with our Community for the Very Special Moment even though we will be on the road returning from a very important mission. We have already made plans to stop and add our focus and strength at that precise moment.

Finally, thank you so much for the wonderful pictorial of our time together. Truly, we could have hugged and cuddled and shared well into the next day...and we SO look forward to picking up where we left off...although cozy and inside and filled with puppy treats!

I think it just highlights so much how much love we have going on around the blogasphere Sorry news though that another lovely has crossed the bridge. I am sending love vibes to his family. I will be here at the time to shout out my message of love after the silence. Hugs GJ xx

We are sooooo sorry about Chaucer, but we are soooooo glad that the two of you are able to experience the joys of just being dogs! Jake, we really enjoyed watching your brain work out ways to get the apple! And Fergi, we are happy to see White Dog's people loving on you! BTW, our mom has a copper tub like that! She loves it 'cause our dad gave it to her as a birthday present!

Hi Sally,
I was there last year and I will be there on the 14th this year!! I don't have a clock or much of anything on my blog's side bar, b/c
of being on dial up there are so many blogs I can't get on!!! Yours has taken me over 3 hours to load.
I feel the saddness of those family's who have lost one of their babies!!! I will be one who has lost one probably soon. Having two very old animals!!!
But for now Bambi is doing good. She is trying to itch a lot more each day! So I have my work cut out for me! She gos to the vets tomorrow.

And we so feel for his family...dear boy, he was a one in a million...

We have our candle ready for the worldwide moment...

And we're sendin' Mumsie out for apples tomorrow...

We are most excited about that...

Kisses, kids,

PS...hey, Mumsie showered yesterday and only when she was done washin' did she realized she'd done her entire ablutions with my dog shampoo...the bottle has a huge Sibe on in...

I'd just love to do that bobbing for apples thing. Only problem is, Gail would eat them all first (you wouldn't believe how many apples she gets through). At least I get given the cores -yum yum!
Oh and you look so smart in your bandanas.
No wonder white dog Moma gave you lots of cuddles.

Hi, Fergi and Jake -

We are so sorry to read about Chaucer. Hopefully he has already met my (Herhsey's) older sister, Bosco.

We are also ready for the Second Annual Worldwide Moment.

Do you live near Fort Collins? Mama has a brother who lives in Fort Collins.

Have a good weekend.

Love -

Chaucer was so tired. He is young and running free now and that is OK. It's how things work.

The bobbing for apples sure looked like hard work. I don't think Fergi much liked it, did she? But you persisted!
