Us Pups and the Pun'kins

When we were out and about last Weekend
with OurGirl
Up Northeast where Colorado flattens out into Farmland and Prairie
Somethin' caught my Eye
and called my Name

NinaGirl said it was a Pun'kin Farm
and suggested we go pickin' pun'kins at dusk that night

When the time was just perfect for that kind of Adventure.

So we did.

And it was Perfect.

Can ya see the Mountains to the West?
With the Clouds hovering over them?

We were in a field lookin' at them.
Oooo'ing and Awww'ing
(We never ever get tired of the View.)

Anyhow
We set off Exploring
Poking our way through the mostly-harvested Field.

Sniffing them All

Looking for the PerfectPun'kin

And you know what?
It was mostly fun.

All except for one Problem.

Can you see What's Wrong with this Picture?
This collage of WeightBearingExtremities?

THEY had on their wellibobs.
Cute Fun Warm Comfy
And Rubber.

Us?

Well
Those SpinyPricklyStickers HURT our TenderUnprotectedPaws

But we didn't let a little thing like that stop Us
'Cause we're getting to be ToughLittleTerriers.

So.  On with the Story
Back to the Reason for being there on this MostAmazingEvening

OurGirl consulted with Us

Making a VeryImportantDecision

and
Satisfied and Smiling
We picked the MostPerfectPun'kins

(That's one of NinaGirlie's really good friends
Can ya tell they're happy?)
While
Later
Back at the Ranch
Fergi reminisced

and I played

Ready for the Next Adventure.

It really is a great Time of the Year.

We're First! ????

But Jake. Farmers PLANT PUNKINS
and Farmers HARVEST PUNKINS, but we don't think Farmers KILL punkins.

you'd best check the instructions in the seed catalogue

Hi Jake! Hi Fergie! It looks like you both had a good time other than those sticker things. And Nina looks like she found just the perfect pumpkin!

And we loved the video of you with your pumpking Jake - we keep thinking "get it Jake, get it!!"

How interesting Jake. We don't have pun'kin farms in my part of the world. They are ENORMOUS. Didn't you do well ti find such impressive specimens. Nina and her friend look so happy. And of course you are tough little terriers. What other kind is there?
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Gail loves the picture of the distant mountains and clouds. Personally I think the pun'kins are most interesting.

As we are fond of saying of OUR area..."We can't believe we LIVE here!" What a wonderful adventure for the entire family. Jake and Fergie, isn't life grand?

Hi Jake and Fergi, we have never been to a Pun'kin farm!
You guys are so lucky although you would have thought the two leggars would have made sure you had wellibobs too!
Sometimes they are soooooo selfish!
By the way the human loved the view - we don't get it with views ourselves, you can't sniff them!
Fergi you are looking just adorable with your pumpkin reflecting on the day. Thank dogness you sent Ninagirl to college - she would know a good Pun'kin when she saw it!
What a very cool video Jake - we so love videos - kinda makes us feel we are right there and we wanted to snatch that Pun'kin from you!
What an expertly played Happy Farmer background too.......!
love you all lots
