It's True.
There've been some Big Changes around here recently.
Some of them have been pretty Dramatic
and Overnight.
Like 90° Hot Sunny Dry Weather one day
(Panting helps.)
and
55° Damp Cloudy Misty Weather the next.
But we cope.
Just fine.
We simply snuggle up under a Blanket.
(There are some real Advantages to being CuddleBugs.)
There have also been some Subtle Changes going on
Day-to-Day.
It seems with the Changing of the Seasons
from Summer to Autumn
We notice Little Things around us.
For Instance
Outside in the New Garden
There's one Rose Shrub that gives a Good Example
About how slow and gradual (and beautiful) Change can be.
One or two blossoms still poke their heads through New Buds
While gobs of Rose Hips form from the old ones
Turning from pale green to deep dark red.
Moma says that later this fall or early winter
She'll make Rose Hip Tea from them.
(We're sure at least some of us will get to taste it.)
Speaking of Tea
There's been another Changeover.
(Our Dinner Bowls don't seem to change. Hmmm. Don't know why.)
But we do hear Moma mutter that it makes her happy
to bring out the different season patterns
(And we think that soon we'll be smelling good aromas
comin' from the oven.)
Even the Wheelies are Changing with the Seasons
From Pale Greens
We know what that means
There are prob'ly some Changes coming for Us
Like
One
More
Grooming
so
We
Can
Grow
Out
for
the
Long
Winter.
We'd better get more Blankets and Our Jammies out Now.
We think we're gonna need them.
(Happy New Season, Everyone. Wherever you are!)

Oh yes, the season are changing here too. Although today it is HOT (almost 90 - crazy for this time of year) tomorrow it will be cool in the 60s. And while we don't have any china to change, we do hear talk of trips to the storage locker which could only mean one thing - time to get the holiday decorations - first up Halloween!
It does sound like it is getting to be time to start snuggling under blankets (yay, Virgil is more snuggly in winter) and get the warm jammies (well, ok, we are cats, so maybe not that for us) and oh, all the good cold weather foods will start to come out! We love this time of year - we hope you are enjoying it too!!
Happy Autumnal Equinox to you too - we wish you were here to celebrate with us. We had a huge moon last night and it made us think of sitting on the porch with your family and chatting until the fencepost had shadows.
Our Mom is canning all the time now - tomatoes, salsa, apple butter, black raspberry preserves, pepper jelly. We try to stay out from under her feet - we don't want to accidentally get stuck in a jar!! And then the jars get a boiling water bath - we don't like baths, especially hot ones!!

We are still waiting to see a change in the season here - maybe this weekend. Sweet post. We love seeing the change in the dinner plates and the wheelies - before you know it, it will be Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
It is lovely to see the seasons changing - we love Autumn the very best although at the moment it is rather wet!
How lovely to see the wheelies changing into their autumn colours and your mom even changing plates!
Our favourite pic today was of you two being snugglebugs.......isn't that the very best part of chilly days.
We hope your garden is growing well - we must look out some scottish heather and send it to you - we don't know if it would grow in Colorado, what do you think?
love

That was a lovely post - we love autumn here too and all the changes it brings. We loved seeing your Mom's different china - that's a wonderful idea.
take care

It's beginning to get cooler here today. My daddy has already started decorating for fall. My momma is talking about making Thanksgiving and Christmas cards. I'm thinking maybe some pumpkin treats will be coming one day soon from that hot box in the kitchen.
We were smiling all through your post, Jake and Fergie! We adore autumn and everything that comes with it!
Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch

When you can smell chiles roasting everywhere in town and it is cool enough to snuggle back up on the bed at night, I know Autumn is here! The big trees out front have begun to drop a smattering of leaves, just a few and dad is starting to hint about pumpkin pie and cookies. I wonder if Quinn and Michael will like Autumn in New Mexico? Happy First Day of the Harvest Season...may you have bounty, color, and warmth in every part of your lives.
Hey there! That was a nice post! I love your china, I too change my china for the seasons! It's fun and I tell the kids I like to spice it up a bit at dinner! LOL

Hi Guys!
Yeah, the change of seasons is real nice and it's one of the pleasures of living in a temperate climate. We like it, too. Tomorrow my mom is going to put our autumn stuff out. She was waiting until summer was officially over, and it is now, so "Hello Pumpkins!"
Love and Lots of Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie
Hi Jake and Fergi (my very top students)
You do look so snug under your blanket there. The bandanas are cute too.
And, just a hint for next time you come to class, a nice cup of hot tea in a china cup is always appreciated by a teacher from the UK! But 'real' tea, none of that rose hip rubbish please...
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
We are looking forward to autumn here too, but muzzer can't quite bring herself to put out the pumpkins and stuff when the temperature is supposed to hit 98 today! Thought we left that behind a couple of moves ago?
So we doubly enjoyed your post and the welcome hints of what is to come.
kisses

Oh you are going to get fuzzy for the winter? I love fuzzy terriers. I like the changing seasons, especially the cooler weather.

In Michigan we say "if you don't like the weather, just wait 10 minutes!"
That's really been true around here lately.
I'm going to follow you now!
Guess what? My mom person & I have created a new blog at www.PetBlogsUnited.com.
We'd love it if you would come over and check it out & become a member. It's a great new place for pet bloggers to find each other, and get an opportunity to be a featured blog!
