Through the blackest night
Morning gently tiptoes
Feeling its way to dawn.
✳
November sunrises
are some of the most beautiful
from our deck.
We'll admit to sleeping through some of them
but Moma managed to capture a few
as we dozed.
Successive mornings.
Beginnings of new days.
Just yesterday
She saw the Morning Star
at sunrise
A little above the horizon.
(She placed this star, because the actual one didn't photograph.
But that is where it was.
She told us.)
Moma stood on the deck
and gazed at it.
And it made of her think of Snickers.
A new little Star in the Heavens.
She watched.
And listened.
And heard quiet whispers.
She gently smiled
As she felt Snickers' Spirit.
Her thoughts were eventually broken
by the jingle of our collars and tags
as we shook out the morning stiffness
standing on the bed
ready for our morning walk.
A new day had begun.
And we greeted it.
With Love.

What a sweet post - isn't it wonderful that every need day brings it's own promises, dreams and love.

Our secretary made a small boo- boo, it should be every new day, not need.

That was so sweet, I first I thought, WOW, look at the star...LOL
I just told Buffy, that my Dad is one of the stars up above when we were outside the other night. My Father loved his Buffy so much.
That was nice.
Thanks~
I bet that star was really bright.

That's beautiful! What gorgeous sunrises. What a shame that they happen so early and then disappear into the day.

Love Miss Snickers! Thanks for your wonderful post, Fern
Sunrises like these truly inspire one to get out of bed; watch the dawn unfold; and think about the splendour of the Universe, the quiet miracles of our own lives and the hopeful promise that today will be better in some small way somewhere in the world. It is so revitalizing! Thanks for sharing.

What a lovely post! We have no doubt that the star was there just for your sweet Mom as a sign from Miss Snickers that she was now safe and happy.
