Christmas.

A lovely season.

A lovely day.

One that holds lots of memories

Happy and sad.

One that holds lots of promise.

One that holds a celebration of faith

and the joy of family and friendship.

This Christmas is similar to last, in many ways.

We are still in our furever home.

This is our second Christmas.

We are once again staying at our Rescue Angel's home

Miss PJ.

Our family is once again with extended family

in Florida.

We once again have Christmas stockings to sniff out.

We once again have a snowy scene to enjoy

through a window in a warm loving home.

We once again have gentle touches and soft voices.

We once again have a forever home to return to.

And we once again have a family that will return to us.

But this Christmas is different in other ways.

What is different?

You.

Our dozens and dozens of friends

that we've met these past several months.

Our friends who share with us

the joy of the bond between furry and human.

Who hear us.

Who speak the same language.

Who understand.

Our friends who have made us 

laugh

cry

think

question

who have helped us to

risk

celebrate

experiment

explore

and who have shared with us

trust

understanding

compassion

and

love.

There is no greater gift that we could ask for.

We feel like we "have it all."

We have a loving family

and we have friends.

You.

We want to wish for you

a wonderful holiday

and

a wonderful season.

We hope the day

in whatever way you recognize it

is very very special.

Our Auntie Judith

has a beautiful Christmas card on her fridge.

It has been there all year.

She received it last Christmas.

We love it.

Moma and our NinaGirl love it.

And we decided to share it with you.

The message is simple.

And we could not say it better.

It's by an Anonymous author.

(Perhaps it was written by Santa Claus.

He's a good man and he's looking for people who are nice.

Maybe these are the behaviors he's watching for.)

Gladden the heart of a child.

Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth.

Speak it again.

Speak it still once again.

That may sound trite.

Or superficial.

But the joy you have made us feel

Has made us a happier family.

Right now

As our time is filled with the activities of the holiday season
