Remember this?
Just a couple of weeks ago when it was incredibly hot and we were panting and sweating
(glowing, in Miss Fergi's terms)
in Florida?

Well, things were a bit different today. Back home in Colorado.
Last we checked, we still lived in the northern hemisphere.
Where it is summer.
But today, the sky turned really dark. Black dark.
The temperature dropped to about 50° F (10° C). Probably cooler.
And before long a storm rolled in.
With thunder boomers and millions of hard white things that fell from the sky.
They hit our skylight like rocks falling from heaven
and it got really loud.
Two dogs were pacing. (That'd be me and Fergi.)
Not too happy, we were.
The storm lasted for about 15 minutes. It seemed like hours.
And when it was over, parts of the grass had turned solid white.
Moma and the Girl drug us outside.
In winter boots and sleeveless tops (them, not us.)
Fergi tried an experiment.
She immediately tried to turn the white yellow.
(When you gotta go, you gotta go.)
We think the drama scared it right out of her.
She was a little bit in awe.
We both were.
But our Girl tried to convince us we could have fun in this cold pebbly stuff.
Even if the storm still loomed dark and large to the east of us.
So we ran.
And we actually had fun
(wrapping the Girl up in our leashes.)
We learned that with an hour or two, it would all be history.
All except for the leaves that had been beat down and now lay on the ground.
The pavement was green.
Fall leaves in July.
Fergi'll love it come time to walk in the morning.
Leaves to chase! One of her favorite things.
Craziness.

What a strange atmospheric occurrence! But it looks like fun to run around in.
WOW- kinda cool! Except for the scary loud part of the storm. We are still really hot and dry here. Have a great day!

The weather has gone mad!!! Snow in summer!
We hope you were dragged outside and not drugged!!!
We always tie our mum up in two leads - sometimes we even manage to tie her to a tree!!!
It is a good way to get your human to let you off lead!!

Aren't summer time storms the weirdest?! The other day, Momma was checking the mail. It was beautiful and sunny. Then she got hit in the head with a piece of hail! And the skies just kind of opened up and hailed for about 5 minutes... and it was gone as fast as it came!
Your Nina girl is such a cutie. I am glad she helps you enjoy life, rain or shine! (or hail!)
Hi
We just had rain. Try rolling in it for a good massage. Then you can dry off inside. (On the couch)

We just had rain too - but it was still scary with all the booms! At least you got to have fun running around afterwords.

Hey Fergi!
You chase leaves? I do, too. Do you think it's a girl thing?
Your weather has been very weird. So has ours. Maybe we get the same weather after you get through with it. Ya think?
Love and Koobuss Kisses,

Hi, Fergi and Jake -
That must have been something - getting hail in the summer. We usually get hail in the winter.
We also have had really hot and humid weather. Mama really hates this stuff. We hope you are having a good weekend.
Love -
Hershey and Kaci
