I made little Andy a VerySpecialPromise
Before he left us for the Bridge
Earlier this month
He reminded me of how much his moma
(Fergi's and my granmoma)
Loves to hold and cuddle and love Little Dogs
including
(Angel) Andy and (Angel) Chloe
and all her little dogs before them.
And he reminded me how much she loves to give her little dogs Treats
Even at our home in Colorado
and little Andy reminded me
of how much Gramma loves to see our sweet smiling faces
We make her smile back
and
He reminded me of how much Love she has to share
(as if I ever might've forgotten .... NOT!)
and how Love grows
and how the Heart never can have too much Love
and
How how Little Angels Andy and Chloe want her
to Always Remember
and
to Always keep her Heart growing Bigger and Fuller
of and with
Love
So
When the Time was Right
Granmoma and I had a little Talk
and
Shortly Thereafter
We all made a VerySpecialTrip
to a VeryClean but VerySad Place
and
We found Her
(Or, rather, she found us)
The VeryFirstLittleDog that Granmoma laid her eyes on
A VeryScared and VeryHopeful A035891
Not just a number
But a VerySpecialDog needing and wanting a Forever Home
And from there
It was sorta History
She and Granmoma fit right Together
at the Animal Control place
(yep ... she was an inmate)
and
Just a few hours later
in Gramma's arms at home
It was pretty much Love at First Sight
(both directions)
and
I got down to Business
Helping Little Miss A035891
(yep ... she's little ... all of 15# next to svelte 20# me)
Get the Short Course on being a Doggie in this Family
and
She seems to be a pretty QuickLearner
(and a pretty one, at that)
She listened
and
She told me a bit of her own Opinions
Bottom Line
We're patiently and tenderly helping her settle in
Right now
She makes it pretty clear
She needs Rest

Lots of it.
Seems she's got some sort of Health Issues right now
that're gonna need Time and TLC and VeryGoodVeterinary Care
It could be a bunch of different Things
or
Several put Together
(She won't eat
She's running a fever
She doesn't play like she did the first night
She's coughing and snorting a little
and she's really really quiet)
But we know one thing
She's in a Forever Home
with a Moma who loves her
and a Family who's gonna do our doggonedest
to nurse her back to health
'Cause we're excited to PLAY
with
Bella!
xx
Jake
Pee esS
Fergi loves her too
They've just never been in front of the camera
at the same time.
That'll come soon.
UPDATE
Sweet Bella is now charming the Doctors and Staff
at the Animal Care Center
as of this evening.
When she went back to visit her VeryNice and VeryCompetent Vet
He wanted her to stay.
Granmoma is sad and worried
but
We know Bella is where she can get the VeryBestCare
and
She must know that she is Loved
and
That her Furever Family is going to do Anything and Everything
possible
to help her get Healthy and Happy
Paws Crossed

Hi Jake, Bella is a lovely dog I'm so pleased she has found her forever home, and Gramma has a furiend, you did a good job helping her out.
See yea George xxx
Aww, she's cute, and they seem to get along so well. :) My foxy hates other dogs, I have no idea why ...
Anyway, as much as I love her I decided if I ever decide to "get" a dog again, I'll take him/her from a shelter, because there are so many animals in need it makes me sad. :(
Oh how wonderful! She's such a beautiful girl, that Bella. How could anyone not fall in love with her?!
Parental Unit and I are sooooo happy for your lovely Grandma and her new furfriend. We hope Bella feels better real soon. Please keep us updated!
Congrats to you all!

Love ya lots

She is very cute. I hope she is feeling better. Maybe she caught some sort of kennel cough when she was in doggie prison. She is a pretty dog with a pretty name.
Sally Ann
She is very cute, and reminds me of my friend Jewels back in Azrizona. We hope she feels lots better soon, so she can learn more about the kind of treats that only Grandmomas can give.

At the true Center of the Circle of Life is Everlasting Love! Andy and Chloe sent Bella so that Grandmoma's heart would not be broken and so that one forgotten little pup would get a second chance at a wonderful forever home with someone to love! With you and Fergie and Moma there to guide the way, this new pair looks well on the way to a perfect life together. We could not be happier (and know Bella will be well in no time)!
Hooray, for grandma & Bella! We will pray for her to be healthy soon.
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Bella is just what Grandma needs. We so hope she will be OK.

Oh, dear little Bella (a so much nicer name than A035891), I do so hope that the vet can make you well again. It only took a few photos and words on the computer screen for us to fall in love with you, so it's easy to imagine how Granmoma feels.
All the very best,
Gail and Bertie.
Dear Sweet Jake,
We are so happy that your Granmoma found Bella and Bella found all of you. We will keep all our positive terrier vibes coming your way so Bella can get well soon. We cannot imagine a more loving home for her - all our licks

Sometimes I do squat to pee like a girl, Jake, but most times I lift my leg like a real boy does! Thank you for helping my mom. She feels so much better after this posting!
